Royal Powers
Similar to their guardians, members of royalty also have special abilities. The ability to use magic is the most notable; they all possess great amounts of power allowing them to attack, defend, heal, and even help the plants grow! Royal powers are passed down through the bloodline and are several times more powerful than that of their guardians power. However, they are still granted guardians to be able to look after them in a way similar to the secret service or FBI. Members of the royal family, planet-wide, also have a very vital power to the planet itself; a ritual they are taught to remember at a very young age and that only the individual members of royalty know, it is a power that, when combined, is able to use the planet's natural energies and resources to save itself. Since it is such a difficult ritual, pulling a lot of the person's powers, the guardian protecting that member of royalty is taught to stand guard and lend their powers to them while it is being performed; luckily such extreme actions have not yet been needed. It is also possible to combine the strengths of different royal families across the globe in times of extreme crisis. Royal powers can even be monitored by viewing the crystalline structures that exist inside the bodies of royalty and guardians - the size, complexity, and shine can all help to determine and individual's power. When a guardian's crystal is shattered their link with the royal family is broken and their insignia's will disappear. However, if a royal crystal is destroyed, the holder of the crystal will die.
The Princess of the Past
Appearance: The Princess has long red hair normally worn with a bit tied back with a long ribbon and the rest hanging to her hips. She has fair skin, cerulean eyes and is around 17-19 years old when the events that will change her life take place.
Fashion: The Princess, being of high royalty, is always expected to dress her best at all times, in the most fashionable gowns and expensive jewelry. However, when not attending to formal duties, she still dresses elegantly but hardly ever wears any jewelry, except for the heart-shaped locket Yami gives her on one of her birthdays.
Bio: The Princess is very kind, honest, open-minded, caring, and a bit naïve. She spends her days in the castle studying several subjects that are taught by her personal tutors - all experts in their fields - as well as training to become the next queen. She hates being locked up within the castle, as the farthest she is allowed to go is to the edge of the castle grounds; she longs to be outside and experience the life of a normal, everyday person. Within the castle she has no close friends and no one near her age that will talk to her like an ordinary person - she is a princess - someone to be respected and obeyed, whether she always appreciates it or not. She longs for the freedom of going out and being herself, to have people speak to her honestly, to be seen as human being and not as an authority figure. Because of this she rarely ever misuses her power and influence over people, instead believing that they have their own right to thoughts and actions. Her kind heart was quickly won over by her guardians who, even from a young age, quickly became her closest confidants - she puts complete trust in them as they are some of the few people who treat her like a normal person. The Princess often goes to Yaori for advice and counseling, to Yaari for fun, to Yuuki for care, to Yuuri for teaching, and to Yami for well, ...just because! From a young age she seemed to get along with Yami the best and the two were always very close; she depends on his words to save her from her sadness. He often can be seen near her, helping her study, joking and talking with her, and on a few secret occasions, sneaking her out of the castle to enjoy a few hours of "normal" life. He is her shoulder to cry on when things get tough; eventually he shares his "secret spot", the flower field behind the castle, with her - an area he always kept near his heart as its wide open field and sky reminded him of his home. Eventually, Yami comes to realize that his feelings for the Princess surpasses that of a what a guardian should feel. Although he promised not to ever become closely involved with her when he took his vows to become her guardian, he realizes that he can no longer abide by that promise. He breaks his vows and admits his feelings to her and is surprised when she admits that she feels the same, even though he tells her that she need not reply to his confession because of the trouble it would cause. Though she is concerned almost as much as Yami as to what may happen if there relationship is ever found out, especially by the King who forbids any sort of interactions, still they continue to become more and more close as time goes by. However, the Princess must, at some point, choose a husband to rule beside her, but because all of the suitors she meets she considers to be terrible people (and they really are) or because of her feelings for Yami, she has turned down every single one. Eventually leaving her parents, or at least the King, a feeling that the only choice left is to force her to marry someone of their own choosing. Yami, as well as her other guardians who long ago noticed Yami's relationship with the Princess, realize how much this is hurting their Princess and attempt to stop it. Especially Yami who voices his opinion loudly, as more than anything, he wishes he could be the one to take her hand. But because he is not of noble birth it is out of the question. Yami continues fighting this hoping to one day be allowed to marry her...that is until tragedy strikes the kingdom; in an intense battle with their main enemy Rashea, who had always been after the Princess' life and power, the Princess is killed in front of Yami. Using almost all of her power, the Queen manages to heal the heavily wounded guardians and allow her daughter to be reborn - in another time and another place

The Modern Princess
Appearance: The reborn Princess, has light skin, cerulean eyes, around 5'4" - in all ways an exact replica of her former existence. The only difference is her hair - but red hair in the royal family when exposed to Earth's atmosphere and diet turns a light auburn-blonde naturally; the Queen and King's turquise-like hair turns brown when on Earth. However, as she values her individuality immensely, she dyes it often. At last check it was cut a little below her shoulders and dyed black with two violet streaks up front framing her face.
Fashion: In her current incarnation, the Princess seems taken with striking Goth attire and schoolgirl fashion. From corsets over black long-sleeved shirts, fuzzy trimmed skirts with corset lacing, torn black dresses, outfits covered in buckles and chains and billowy sleeves to plaid and short girly ties with pigtails! When she re-witnesses her closet at the castle she is amazed by all the dresses, and though she finds them beautiful, she also finds them restraining and difficult to wear for long as so is normally seen around the castle in her normal clothes...much to her royal parents chagrin.
Bio: The Princess lived a somewhat normal (though slightly ostracized) life on Earth, birthed to average parents in a small town until her guardians finally found her and made contact. The Princess now acts much the same way she did in her former life, the few notable differences being lack of study in fine arts (though she can still draw quite well!), etiquette, and a change in how she reacts to being pinned down or denied her freedoms; all this is possibly due to her being raised in a very different culture and time, this may also account to a slight lack in her naivety of most subjects. The Princess also greatly dislikes lying and those who lie and even refuses to tell lies herself, even if she tried she doesn't seem very good at it. In the past, it seems she even made Yami promise not to ever lie to her, and so far when confronted by her, he will not. The Princess flaunts her love of individualism from her open-minded views, to her hair and dress, but still she seems to have a slight aire of royalty, as noted a few times by people who met her on Earth. She also has an incredible moral sense...something perhaps brought over from her former life. Most likely the Princess has the exact same personality as before, only colored over by her experiences and upbringing on Earth. The Princess enjoys laughing and comedy and likes to joke around with Yaari, however she often seems to be hiding a deep sadness, which is something she seems to do well. Unless she is under great duress, she will smile happily so that no one will worry about her (she fears most becoming a burden to those around her). It does not take long for her guardians to realize when something in her demeanor seems "off" though. It would seem her drive to be an individual and to also fit in caused her several pains over the years; making her feel as she did not fit in anywhere at all - after finding out she is not originally from Earth, she assumes that this is why she never felt as though she fit in, however it is not a feeling that pans out; it seems it is her job to carve out her own path and 'home'. Yami is able more than anyone to tell when she is hiding her feelings and will easily confront her over it as well as comfort her. Because she was always a bit of an outcast on Earth, it takes her a long while to finally accept that she is, indeed, something as grand as a Royal Princess. With her loyal guardians encouragement she finally begins to accept her destiny. Still, coming from Earth, with friends and family there in a place she is used too, she tries her best to strike a balance between being in both worlds, as best she can anyway without letting her Earth friends and family know who she really is. On Earth she became a total fangirl while growing up and realizes quickly how attractive all her guardians really are! (It also causes quite an incident when they find the "pure" Princess' yaoi stash...and what's on her laptop? Yaori swore never to tell anyone! She made sure he promised!) Also, she notices how all of her guardians have such long hair...is it a fashion in her old home world? Or did she have something to do with it? Perhaps, it is something she may never know. She also can't seem to help from blushing whenever her guardians get close, especially Yaori, who's intelligence, finesse, and technological abilities catch her eye, or Yami who catches her eye for reason's she cannot seem to yet grasp. Actually Yaori could probably win her heart if he wanted...but there is something about Yami that she can't seem to get out of her head, a certain feeling that makes her heart skip a beat when he's near.
The Princess just like before faces many hurdles on her way to the throne...it seems a certain someone has begun to wake from his imprisonment...

The Princess Powers' - Then & Now
A prophecy states that a Princess who appears with five male guardians protecting her will become the most powerful member of royalty in the world and will save humanity on the planet from certain disaster. For this, five guardians will be needed to protect her from more danger than ever faced by the royalty before her.
However, the Princess that has finally appeared as prophesized, can barely even use the simplest of magic's! Practice and training have helped her a bit, but she is still unable to perform at the level of any other her age. Because of this, she is watched over very carefully and hardly ever allowed outside of the castle walls. But if the legend holds true, she will one day be able to control more immense power than ever experienced on the entire planet - which makes her very intriguing to others - both good and bad. Her crystal, even now, still shines brighter than anyone else's - a true testament to the power she holds. The only person to ever come close to it's shine and radiance, is the Princess' mother, the Queen, who was said to be one of the most powerful members of royalty before her daughter's birth. However, after saving her daughters life, the Queen's powers become severely decreased.
The Princess of the modern age, having never known of her abilities, also seems to have an extreme impairment when attempting to use her newfound skills - perhaps even more so now than before. After a long time, and witnessing her dear guardians injured while trying to protect her, she attempts to learn as much about fighting and defense as she can - with or without the use of her powers - for this she asks Yami for guidance and though worried about getting her involved, he eventually seems to understand why she want this and agrees to help her train.
Spoiler!!!
After finally awakening her powers it is quickly realized that though she now has use of them she cannot control them in any way and often passes out after using only a small amount of her strength. To help keep this great amount of raw power in check Yaori creates four thin bracelets which can contain her magic. The Princess wears two of the bracelets on each wrist at all times, however if even one of them is removed a great force is unleashed - one that can easily defeat most foes. But this power is still very unstable and uncontrolled, so the bracelets and the Princess herself, are both monitored very closely
